Final idea generation

 In today’s lesson we got together as a group and explained our individual ideas to the rest of the group. When discussing my idea I told the group that my idea is to split the narrative in three parts, showing three different forms of bullying. The advertising campaign would also be produced to inform the public about bullying that goes on amongst children, and also the services provided to help children affected by bullying. I also spoke about the setting, saying that it would be set in a school and somebody’s home, and that they would be using props such as phones and laptops. 

Each member of the group then went on to speak about what their final idea is for our anti-bullying production. We then went on to decide what our final idea would be as a group.
Our final idea is to use a multi-strand narrative technique, which is where we will be having three different story lines. These will be ‘physical/typical’ bullying, ‘subtle’ bullying and also ‘cyber-bullying’. All of these scenes will include one main character that will be seen as the victim, and some may include other characters that will be seen as the bullies. We will be filming in the school, and also at somebody’s house, and all of the characters will be teenagers as we believe that this will appeal to our target audience. At the end of each scene we would also be including statistics to show the audience the impact that bullying has on teenagers.
To get to this final idea we took ideas from each of our individual ideas. From my individual idea we had decided to use the idea that we should use a multi-strand narrative structure to show three different story lines. We also used my idea that we should show a person getting bullied because of their sexuality.
